Established in 1912 for the Lewis Lapham family, Waveny House is a historic Tudor style mansion overlooking 300 hundred acres of countryside in New Canaan, Connecticut. Purchased in 1967 by the town of New Canaan from Mrs. Ruth Lapham Lloyd, the Park and the House now serve as a community recreation area for the residents of the town.
Waveny was a long time favorite of Chip’s father and Courtney’s grandfather when they wanted to go for a walk, and we took a stroll around Waveny’s gorgeous grounds on our second date. After many picnics, walks, and special memories, the Park has since taken on a meaningful spot in our relationship and we cannot wait to celebrate there with you!

Our Venue
Waveny House might look familiar to some! The exterior served as the fictional Cortlandt Manor on All My Children for many years (also featuring a wedding!) Its exterior was also used in The Stepford Wives (2004.)
Another fun fact? Waveny House is the childhood home of actor Christopher Lloyd, better known as Doc Brown from Back to the Future!
